Bjørndalen means Bear Valley. When I first saw it, it was a borderless expanse of snow flooded by the April sun. When I went back, on a September hike to the Fuglefjella cliffs, it was all mosses, flowers and lichens.

The hike to the Foxfonna glacier in Svalbard made me think about the moon. Some landscapes are real, yet they feel so surreal that you can only stand in silence and awe in front of them.
